International Day of Elder Persons – Public Awareness & Cultural Event

Means India proudly participated in and supported the World Elders Day Celebrations – Elders Mela 2012, organized on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons.

The multi-day event was conducted at Zoroastrian Club, Secunderabad, in collaboration with:

  1. Department for the Welfare of Disabled & Senior Citizens

  2. Government of Andhra Pradesh

  3. HelpAge India

  4. Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited

  5. Various community and corporate partners

The program included:

  1. Public awareness rally promoting elder rights and dignity

  2. Exhibition stalls showcasing senior welfare initiatives

  3. Health & support information booths

  4. Cultural performances by senior citizens

  5. Community interaction and policy discussions

  6. Networking with social organizations and government representatives

The event emphasized active aging, social inclusion, and respect for senior citizens.

Through such large-scale initiatives, Means India continues to advocate for elder welfare at community and institutional levels.
